We made shirts for other labels first.
Six years in other people's factories taught us what a good shirt costs to make. In 2024 we started putting our own name on them.
Clewelle began as a garment manufacturer in Hyderabad, producing for other clothing labels. Someone else's name went on the collar; the cutting, stitching and finishing were ours.
After six years of making shirts to other brands' specifications, we began producing under our own label — the same floor, the same hands, our own patterns and our own standards.
Formal shirts in solid colourways and casual shirts in checks and stripes, every one of them cut and sewn here in Telangana.
Where our shirts come from
Our cloth is sourced locally and every shirt is manufactured in Hyderabad, Telangana. Nothing is imported finished and relabelled. The shirt you receive was made in the same unit that has been producing garments since 2018.
That is the part of this business we know best, and it is the reason we can sell a shirt at the price we do — there is no importer and no middle layer between the machine and the listing.
How we price
Every colourway costs the same in every size. A 46 is not priced above a 38, and we do not run a size-based markup — a ₹1,090 formal shirt is ₹1,090 in all five sizes, and a ₹1,290 casual shirt is ₹1,290 in all five.
It also means an exchange for a different size is a straight swap with nothing to pay either way, which is how our returns work.
